Deputy Head of Primary
Mr. David Williams is a respected educational leader with 20 years of experience in British curriculum schools across the UK and the UAE. He holds a PGCE in Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, along with the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). He is also a certified Lead Inspector for British Schools Overseas (BSO), having worked with inspection teams in the UAE, Iraq, Venezuela, and Qatar, supporting school improvement at an international level.
David has been a dedicated member of the Regent International School community for over 11 years, beginning his journey as a classroom teacher and later serving as Head of Lower School and Vice Principal. During this time, he led the Early Years and Primary phases to Outstanding KHDA judgments and twice stepped in as Acting Principal. He successfully guided the school through significant milestones, including launching the Secondary phase, managing the post-COVID reopening, and achieving an Outstanding rating in the most recent BSO inspection.
Today, as Principal, David leads the school with a clear and future-focused vision – ensuring academic excellence is paired with student well-being, purpose-led learning, and real-world readiness. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding Regent’s Secondary provision and strengthening its signature programmes, including a rigorous STEAM curriculum, a 360° Immersive Learning model, and an inclusive extracurricular offering that supports student passions and pathways beyond the classroom.
David also leads the school’s Positive Education framework, integrating well-being into academic life and ensuring every student is known, supported, and challenged. His inclusive, empathetic, and collaborative leadership style is valued by staff and students alike, fostering a culture of high expectations, resilience, and continuous improvement.
With a firm belief in nurturing confident, values-driven learners, David continues to shape Regent as a school where students are empowered to lead – with compassion, critical thinking, and global awareness.
